Bridge Harbor Marina

Bay County, Florida

ERC > Projects > GIS & Mapping > Bridge Harbor Marina

ERC obtained permits for a commercial marina located at the Bridge Harbor development site. ERC conducted several ecological evaluations including a wetland delineation, a listed species survey, and a submerged resources / habitat analysis.

ERC collected background data within Callaway Bayou/East Bay including water depths, water quality, and distance to shellfish harvesting areas.

To determine an appropriate marina design and slip mix, ERC collected boat use data for Bay County and helped to determine an appropriate slip mix based on boat ownership trends.

ERC obtained State and Federal permits for a 180-slip marina and obtained a sovereign submerged lands authorization (lease). ERC justified the siting, design, and need for the marina throughout the permitting process by designing and implementing studies to address the public and resource agencies’ comments.

ERC coordinated with the US Coast Guard, US Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Marine Fisheries Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the City of Callaway, and representatives of the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund.

The Bridge Harbor Marina will be a recreational asset for the project, the City of Callaway, and Bay County.
