Fanning Bayou Development

Bay County, Florida

ERC > Projects > Environmental Permits > Fanning Bayou Development

ERC conducted state dredge and fill and Federal CWA 404 permitting on a 631 acre development site. ERC delineated the extent of the wetlands habitats, conducted listed species surveys, and provided secondary and cumulative impact assessments, wetlands functional assessments with UMAM and WRAP, mitigation planning and implementation.

In addition, a marina was permitted for the site.

The project resulted in 11.5 (+/-)acres of impact with 163 acres of on-site mitigation, 7 bridge crossings over Waters of the State, and 65,000 (+/-) linear feet of roadway.

The on-site wetlands were placed in a conservation easement to be enhanced and preserved. ERC is the mitigation supervisor for the mitigation, which involved complex restoration.

ERC was able to meet mitigation success and receive agency approval within 5 years of initiating the mitigation.
